YouTube Down? Thousands report outage as users face playback errors worldwide. Here's YouTube official statement and what services are affected




In a post on X, YouTube wrote, “We’re aware that some of you are experiencing issues watching videos on YouTube, YouTube Music, or YouTube TV. We’re investigating the issue and will update this thread with the latest info.”

The company did not share any immediate cause for the outage. However, the acknowledgment assured users that teams were working to identify the problem.

Official Update from YouTube and Google Spokesperson

By 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, YouTube issued an official update through its X account. The post was shared by Google spokesperson Dwight Harvey, who confirmed that YouTube engineers were working on resolving the issue.

Harvey said, “We’re aware that some of you are experiencing issues watching videos on YouTube right now. We’re investigating the issue and will update the thread here with the latest. Really appreciate your patience.”

The message directed users to YouTube’s community page, where further updates would be provided

YouTube User Reactions on Social Media

Social media platforms were filled with posts from frustrated users. One wrote, “Is YouTube down for anyone else or is it my Wi-Fi?” Another posted, “I thought it was my internet, but I see that’s not the case.”

A third user said, “For the first time in history, YouTube actually went down. How am I going to watch videos now?”

These posts reflected the scale of the disruption and how dependent users are on YouTube for streaming content
